Art tribute to Middle Earth

Post by Rapunzle25 »

Anyone going to this? Friend just mentioned this to me and thought it might be fun!

From the gallery nucleus site:

Please join us as we pay tribute to legendary author J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved epic high fantasy classics, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. In celebration of Peter Jackson's cinematic adaptation of Tolkien's The Hobbit, Nucleus will be honoring Tolkien's work by curating a dual level show featuring artwork from fans and artists all over the world by once again accepting open submissions and debuting the inspired works through our moderated blog.

Written between 1937 - 1949, what started as a simple sequel to the much loved Hobbit, turned into a full blown three volume anthology of all things fantasy. The Lord of the Rings is now known for being the 2nd best selling novel ever written and its inspiration continues to be seen today in artworks, music, video games, and films/television.
