i think the best character is tree beard because he is all calm and cool and when something pisses him off he starts chucking rocks at isengard lol

i think the lotr is a great series but the hobbit has some parts that help explain some things in the lotr i relized this when i started reading the lotr series and i couldnt under stand some things so i read the hobbit and it cleared it up

man y does it take so long to make movies
i mean the trilogy came out realy within one year of the last one but this one is coming years after the last lord of the rings movie
