sam fighting the spider in the third movie.

hey i've been noticing that when sam was fighting the spider in the thrid movie he is always reaching for frodos sword. he never does reach for his own sword that is on his belt. i mean what is the use of having the sword on your belt if you are not gonna use it??

YEAH...OR HE JUST WANTED TOBE HEROIC AND USE "THE RING BEARER'S"SWORD.

It could be the fact that Sam wanted to use Frodo's sword, really Bilbo's sword, Sting. Which featured in the hobbit to slay the spiders who inhabited Mirkwood. Although Sam probably didn't know why he wanted to use it, it's always a possibility.
